It is remarkable that this poor widow sensed the atmosphere of New Testament giving while she still lived under the Old Testament covenant where giving was governed by law, with God giving precise rules for spending money - ten percent of all income for His purposes. ... But in the New Testament the situation was different. There were no stiff regulations, no set amounts.
