- Pauluse teine kiri korintlastele 6:14 -

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
- 2 Corinthians 6:14 (King James Version) -

Kurvastus ja Patt

Maailma kurvastus keskendub sinule, kurvastus Jumala meele järele keskendub Jeesusele. Maailma kurvastus on mures patust tulenevate tagajärgede pärast, mitte sellepärast, et patt on eraldanud inimese Jumala südamest.
-- John Bevere --
--- Hüüdja hääl. Lk 88 ---

Sest kurvastus Jumala meele järgi saavutab meeleparanduse, mis toob pääste, mida ei kahetseta; aga maailma kurvastus toob surma.
- Pauluse teine kiri korintlastele 7:10 -

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- 2 Corinthians 7:10 (King James Version) -

Interactions and Relationships

... marriages that succeed tend to have five times as many positive interactions as negative ones. And when a couple falls below that ratio, their relationship falls down too. ...

--- Five New Management Metrics You Need To Know ---

Meie kiitlemine on just see: meie südametunnistus võib tõendada, et oleme käitunud siin maailmas, eriti aga teiega suheldes, Jumalalt saadud siiras ja selges meeles, mitte lihalikus tarkuses, vaid Jumala armus.
- Pauluse teine kiri korintlastele 1:12 -

Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace.
- 2 Corinthians 1:12 (New International Version) -

Unconscious Thought

... with complex decisions, conscious deliberation doens't help at all. In fact, it can actually hurt you. ... deliberate information-gathering is an integral part of the way to good decisions. The initial steps are exactly the same we've come to expect: try to find out as much about the options as possible, set yourself the goal to choose the best one. Once you've done that, however, take your mind off the issue and go do something else for a while. Eventually, you're going to get a hunch you want to go for a certain option. That's your unconscious saying it's now finished working, please receive your requested results here. (Dijksterhuis & Nordgren, 2006)*.

ja purustame iga kõrkuse, mis tõstab end jumalatunnetuse vastu, ja me võtame vangi Kristuse sõnakuulmisse kõik mõtted
- Pauluse teine kiri korintlastele 10:5 -

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
- 2 Corinthians 10:5 (New International Version) -

Nõtruse vägi

Some kinds of deprivation can increase motivation. Yale sociologist James Baron has compiled evidence that productivity increases when people who are disadvantaged get more than they expected, in what he calls a gratitude factor.

... Vägi saab nõtruses täie võimuse ...
- 2 Korintlastele 12:9 -

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 (New Living Translation) -
